Hey! My name is Emma Nascimento. Originally from Cardiff, Wales, at the age of 22 I set off on a one way flight to Bangkok. Fully embracing the culture, I became a teacher in a Thai school. I taught children from as little as one up to eleven.

Three years later, I moved to Brazil and worked as an English teacher with young children, teens and adults.

In 2016 my Brazilian husband and I arrived in Cascais, Portugal. We fell in love with the culture and lifestyle and decided this was where we would settle and start our family.

I worked as a preschool teacher with the most amazing children from all over the world. My small class had over eleven different nationalities. I became well integrated in the international community in Cascais and felt something was missing. Childcare for international families. So from my love of teaching and my passion for fostering relationships with children and families, in 2019, Nanny Poppins was born. Since then our team of nannies has grown in cultural diversity and we are ready to serve families who like us, have come to Portugal from all over the world.
